Seeking to Love God + Love Others
Devoted to the Word to love God and love others.
We approach life as one big family at Great Divide Calvary. Whether you are a seasonal or year round resident, maybe you are just passing through for the weekend or on vacation, we consider you a part of our family.
We seek to love each other, grow together, and be a blessing to this community. We are connected to the pulse of this County – a diverse group of travelers, adventure-seekers, and down-to-earth people.
Meet the Staff
Jimmy Humphreys, Pastor
Pastor Jimmy was called to the ministry in his teen years when his youth pastor asked him to teach a campus bible study at his high school. Through an adventurous journey with God and after graduating from Colorado Christian University with a degree in Youth Ministry, he accepted the call to full time ministry in 1996 as a youth pastor in the Denver area.
He faithfully served the Lord for 6 years in youth ministry until the Lord placed on his heart the Summit County area in 2001. He and his family began to pray over what God desired to do. In 2003, the Lord prompted Jimmy, his wife and two boys to take a step of faith and move to Breckenridge. Relying on faith, a passion for God’s word, prayer, a love for people and a vision for bringing the gospel to Summit County in a genuine sincere way, they went to the place unknown as God directed them.
Pastor Jimmy continues faithfully to serve the community of Summit County with passion, a sincere love for the Word of God and the people. When he is not in the pulpit, his office hours consist of being with the people on the snow, his bike, and in our community supporting local businesses. His deepest desire is for the people he loves to come into the saving grace and knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:58 – Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (NKJ)

Lee Bertram, Ministry Assistant
After spending the 80’s coming up for ski trips to Breck with my family, I determined my first big move away from my Austin home in 1996 was going to be to work on Peak 8. This was a transformational aspect of my timeline.
Years later I left Breck to spend 17 years running Christian camps in TX and Colorado.
Having returned to Summit with my wife (Rebekah) and 4 kids (Tommy, Hope, James, John) has been AWESOME! As a kid I was a Breck tourist. As a college student I was a Breck transient.
Now as a husband and father, I am a Breck resident. Having worn all these hats I have a huge heart for being sensitive to how I can interact with the variety of individuals my life encounters here. My daily objective is working to be a proactive part in the body of Christ. Being on the team at GDCC is the culmination of many years of prayer, patience, and receiving the Lord’s provision. I’m hungry for serving Him and seeing His name magnified in the mountains of Summit!
Proverbs 16:3 Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established. (Verse on the inside of my wedding ring)
