“Set aside some time in the middle of the afternoon to turn your attention to the beauty of life that the Lord has set before you. Find beauty and comfort in the people around you, the flowers on a table or simply the delicious aroma of tea brewing. A Child is Born
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
–Isaiah 9:6-7

During the summer months, we host an outdoor church service on the last Sunday of the month. (Next Outdoor Service – August 25th)
We gather on the lawn outside of the River Center, worship together, and even have a river baptism, weather and water-flow/temperature permitting.
On Sunday, July 28th, we had the honor of having Pastor Ed Young join us from Calvary Church Aurora. He and his family are dear friends and mentors to our pastors and church body.
Forgiveness
He shared a powerful message about forgiveness with us. We were encouraged to let go of any hurts, anger, bitterness or resentment and forgive those who have wronged us. This allows true healing and freedom to take place in our own hearts and offers an opportunity for reconciliation in our relationships with family members, friends, and church members.
After the time of worship and teaching, we all headed down to the river to see Jesse, a new believer and friend get baptized. It was a true delight to see his joy and love for Jesus shine.
Our next outdoor service will be on Sunday, August 25th. Let us know if you would be interested in getting baptized during this time or if you have any questions.
