Facebook and YouTube Online Services

• Consider gathering with one other family on Sunday to watch our online service together, encourage one another, and pray.
• Use your mobile device or TV and login into your Facebook account to watch live from Great Divide Calvary or watch live on our YouTube Channel.
• When you log into Facebook Live for service, please “Share” and “Host a watch party” so you can invite people from your friends to join you.

What to Expect

We are a friendly, active group of people who love Jesus and live in Summit County full-time, part-time or seasonally. We hope you feel welcome right when you arrive.

Our attire is casual, and many people come dressed in their snowboarding or mountain biking gear, ready to hit the slopes or trails before or after the service.

We have live worship each Sunday morning, followed by a message from Pastor Jimmy Humphreys, leading us through God’s word.

Kids

We have Children’s Church for infants, toddlers, and elementary aged kids. You can drop off your pre-schoolers in their classrooms after announcements with volunteers who love kids.

We encourage elementary kids to worship in song together and then go to class for their bible lesson. 

We truly believe that kids watching parents worship is a huge foundational part of instilling an appreciation for their church and God within their own hearts as they grow so we love having the kids in the main sanctuary with their church family. 

We believe in giving kids ownership with the fellowship so if your children want to be a part of the church in serving, we encourage it. Our goal is to direct children to love their church and feel like it’s theirs too.

Proverbs 22:6 “Direct your children onto the right path and when they are older, they will not leave it.”

Youth

We encourage high school students to attend the main service and to volunteer with the kids. For extension investment, we partner with Summit Young Life.

Family Service

The first Sunday of each month we invite the church body to worship together in the main sanctuary.  We celebrate our Lord Jesus with song, study and communion.  After service we invite everyone to stay for a family potluck lunch. There is childcare for preschoolers and activity color sheets for kids that remain in service.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

We believe in the Acts 2:42 model above.

We are a group of people who love to grow together. We study God’s Word, attend conferences, build friendships and accountability, meet for Bible Study and family groups, and worship together.

We think it’s important to find people you can trust to do life together – serving, having fun, learning together and praying for each other. We are a body of believers that believe in playing together which promotes sticking together.

Women

There are several weekly meetings and activities available for women. We have book studies, Bible Studies, prayer meetings, and Moms in Prayer.

Men

We meet for activities that lead to groups of accountability and friendship. We usually have weekly Bible Studies for Men and outdoor activities scheduled throughout the month.

Other

• Outdoor Activity Groups – Seasonal outdoor times of gathering to promote fellowship and the building up of the believers through activity and friendship. (biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing, running, etc…everything Summit County offers as an active lifestyle)
• Home Groups – a more intimate gathering of believers that build community, discuss the Bible, and live life together

Join a Sport

We love to play in the mountains all year long! There is so much to do here in Summit County, and it’s one of our favorite ways to connect with each other, stay active, and make great memories.

Winter Sports

We are a church of snowboarders, skiers, snow-shoers, cross-country skiers, skimo athletes, fat bike riders and more. Let us know if you’d like to meet up for any winter sports activities. We can gather a group, pick a trail or a lift and meet up for some winter fun.

Summer Sports

From the trails to the water, we love spending as much time soaking up the sun in the summer. You can join us for any of the following organized activities.

Mountain Biking Mondays

Women have been riding together on Mondays since 2008. They meet at a different trail each Monday at 5:45 pm and ride for a couple hours.

They break up into different levels – beginner, intermediate, expert – so you will feel comfortable and have the best time.

Mountain Biking

We have many mountain biking enthusiasts in our congregation who love to hit the trails together. Contact us to connect to a group of men or women, beginners or experts so you can ride together.

Serve Our Fellowship

We are a small fellowship of believers that serve wherever needed, when needed.  We all wear several hats to make this church function each week, month, and year as we love on our community. 

It takes more than a staff of people, it takes the body of believers using their gifts and allowing themselves to serve even in the uncomfortable places.  You never know until you try and find out that you’re great in a place you never thought to give your time. 

We seek to give people the opportunity to serve in a way devoted to the truth of God’s Word and the calling of their hearts.
